Why You Need to be Poor

“Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him.

But he only shouted louder.

The blind beggar would not be stopped.

This was his one chance of being able to see again. So why would he listen to the clamor and shouts of the people around him? Why should he give in to their demands when this could be his one moment in time when everything will change?

Bartimaeus gathered his strength and shouted even louder. “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

His desperate cry for help pierced through all the noise and reverberated in the atmosphere.

Jesus who was passing by the area heard him and called for him.

That day changed the life of blind Bartimaeous forever. Jesus heard his cry and he healed him.

But it was not his loud cry that got him noticed. It was his sheer desperation and utter brokenness that moved the heart of Jesus.

Have you ever been so desperate that you don’t care about what the people around you think? Have you ever been so in need that you would stop at nothing just to have that very thing?

Jesus said, “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.” (Matthew 5:3 NLT)

How to Accomplish Something by Not Doing Anything

How to Accomplish Something by Not Doing Anything

I have been trying to come up with a good article I can publish here. I’ve been working hard but I just couldn’t write anything good. It seems that I don’t have any good ideas I can write about. And I’m running out of time.

So I decided to rest for a while.

You would not believe this, but after a 30-minute nap my blog post is complete!

How could that possibly happen? No one writes an article by sleeping on it!

Well, it just happened to me.

This is that article.

Now let me just click that publish button.

P. S. Working harder is not always the right solution to a problem. There are times when you just need to rest and sleep on it.

How to Change the World One Day at a Time

Many people aspire to make a difference in this world but we all know that changing the world is not as easy as it seems.

When I was a child, I wanted to change the world by becoming a scientist or an inventor. I wanted to create or discover something that will make a big impact in the world.

Later on, I realized that my dreams were too big and too difficult for me to accomplish.

Until now, I still haven’t made any world-changing discovery yet. But my dream of becoming a world changer hasn’t changed.

I learned that I can still be a world changer even if I haven’t made any invention or discovery.

I realized that I can change the world by following these 3 simple steps (and I think you should follow these too):

1. Dream the Impossible – Don’t limit yourself by not dreaming bigger dreams. Aim for the impossible—something that you won’t be able to accomplish without God’s help.

2. Take Action – Your dreams are not just wishful thinking. Do something that will bring you closer to your dreams. If you don’t know what to do, pray.

Prayer is the ignition that starts the chain reaction towards the fulfilment of your dreams. Prayer is also the fuel that keeps you moving forward.

Don’t try to look for the answers for your dreams. Seek God in prayer and the answers will find you.

3. Do it Every Day – A dream remains a dream only if you don’t do anything about it. Take action every single day and your dream starts to become a reality.

Changing the world is not just a dream that you hope will come true some day in the future. It is a dream you keep on doing something about every single day of your life.

What are you going to do today to help make your dream a reality?
